Felt
Over the last few years, the popularity of felt has been growing rapidly. BELacoustics has developed several new products with a luxurious finish in wool felt for the prestigious project Residence Palace of Samyn and Partners.
Within this project we faced many different challenges. All the walls are curved because the building has a round shape, which did not facilitate the design of a system wall. In addition, all the ceilings are in a patchwork of 62 different colors, all customized colors! The acoustic requirements within this project were very strict, but in the end, we managed to provide a suitable and fully customized product.
After more than 2 years of studies and tests, together with the architect we developed some very high quality and aesthetically pleasing products.
At the end of March 2014 in this new building for the European Council, we began the implementation of a 10,000 m² ceiling, and 4,000 m² of walls.
Due to this in-depth study, our know-how regarding working with felt is very advanced and in the future this knowledge will undoubtedly lead to new projects and products.
Unlike some other companies, we only work with 100% wool felt. This is selected extremely carefully to ensure it meets the highest quality standards. This we offer standard in 65 colors!
